As part of the Mosaic implementation, your existing Employee or Student ID will be replaced with a new, single, common identifier. In most cases it will closely resemble the ID you already have.

System Administrators

If you maintain a system that currently uses SID or EID as an identifier, you will most likely need to convert or translate those IDs into the new EmplID.

Specific timelines for switching have yet to be determined for all systems. Stay tuned for additional information.

A few items that may help you out:

• The EmplID will be an attribute in EDS.
• UA_ID, also known as DBKEY, will continue to exist and will be created going forward. If you are able to convert identifiers to that number, that's the way to go.
• A cross walk table associating the new IDs with the old IDs is available in UIS. Please fill out this request form for access.
